 Habit 1. Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
Habit #1 of Highly Effective People Is To Be Proactive. This Means To Make Things Happen Instead Of Waiting For Them To Happen And To Choose Your Destiny. Some Ways To Apply This Habit Is To Choose Your Attitude And Be Responsible For Your Own Happiness. As Stephen Covey Says,
" I am in the drivers seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."

Habit 2. Begin With The End in Mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will." - Jack Welch
"When you know where you intend to end up, you know where you are now."
Habit #2 of highly effective people is to begin with the end in mind. Beginning with the end in mind. This means to think about what is important the most and do it first and do the rest later.

Habit 3. Put First Things First
"Organize and execute around priorities"
Habit #3 of highly effective people is to put first things first. This means to put the most important things first and care about them the most. An example of this quote is to do your homework first before going out with your friends or doing something else that isn't important. Another example is to study instead of doing something else.

Habit 4. Think Win-Win
"Think Win-Win or no deal"
Habit #4 of highly effective people is to Think win win. To think win win means to be cooperative with each other and not be competitive that way everyone wins. Some ways to apply this habit is to always think of ways everyone can win in something and not compete against each other.

Habit 5. Seek First To Understand, Then to be understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe"
Habit #5 of Highly Effective People is to Seek to Understand, Then to be understood. Seek to understand then to be understood means to listen to what others have to say and then you can get your point across.

Habit 6. Synergize
"The whole is greater than the sum of the parts."
Habit #6 of highly effective people is to Synergize. To Synergize means the habit of cooperative thinking. Synergize also means teamwork and open mindedness. Working together can produce far better results than working alone. Ways to apply this habit are to work together with others and listen to what they have to say.

Habit 7. Sharpen The Saw

The four dimensions of self-renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional

Reflection
I think the 7 habits of highly effective people is very helpful for many things. Some habits I will be applying the most are to be proactive and put first things first because i think these habits will help me out a lot. I will apply these habits by doing whats important first and doing the least important things later on. I will also apply these habits by making things happen instead of waiting for them to happen.
